The presence of natural hydration factor (amino acids, fatty acids, urea, ceramides, phospholipids, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, etc.) 2. Intercellular lipids aggregated to form a barrier against trans-epidermal water loss. But the advent of the skin microbiota has reshaped the cards.
